EDU Connect is designed to facilitate communication between School Owners, Teachers, and Parents/Students. As an enterprise school management tool, data is handled with strict security protocols.

To provide and improve our Service, we collect the following types of information:

  • Personal Identification Information: Phone numbers (used as the primary login ID), Recovery Email Addresses, and Student/Staff Full Names.
  • App Activity Data: Attendance records and user roles (Principal, Teacher, Parent, Student).
  • Device Information: Device IDs and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) Tokens to route push notifications and trigger emergency alerts to the correct devices.
  • Files and Media: Images and PDF documents uploaded by school administrators (e.g., school logos) or teachers (e.g., worksheets and notices).

2. How We Use Your Information

EDU Connect uses the collected data for the following purposes:

  • To provide, operate, and maintain our school communication platform.
  • To authenticate users and manage role-based dashboard access.
  • To deliver real-time notifications, including standard notices and high-priority emergency broadcasts.
  • To maintain digital attendance records accessible to authorized parents and school staff.
  • To facilitate the sharing of educational files, notices, and images within the school network.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is securely stored using Firebase Cloud Services. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit using standard HTTPS protocols. We also utilize local device caching so authorized users can access previously downloaded notices offline. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
